The Rev. Rohani Weger is the Rector at Holy Trinity, Episcopal Church. Raised in Indonesia by Methodist missionary parents, she has had a love for the Bible and a love for the Church for as long as she can remember.
Since her ordination in 2010, she has served in diverse congregations, many of them bilingual, as an interim priest. In 2024, she accepted the call to Holy Trinity.
Rohani earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL. After teaching a year in inner-city Chicago and a year on Mercy Ships “The Anastasis”, she felt God was calling her in a different direction – although she continued substitute teaching between Interim positions.
After returning to the United States, she met her future husband, Hans Weger. Since they were coming from different denominations, they decided to check out various churches for a year and were drawn to the Episcopal Church by the beauty of its liturgy.
Rohani, Hans, and their daughter Anastasia moved to Austin, TX, from Miami, FL, to attend seminary. She graduated from the Seminary of the Southwest in 2007.
Some of her hobbies are gardening, cooking, and reading. She also enjoys exploring new places and has added bird watching since moving to Southeast Texas.
