Holy Trinity's Search For A Rector
Holy Trinity's Demographic Burden and Opportunity
Looking at the diagram on your right, you can see that Jefferson County, Texas has 5 sizable demographic areas. Beaumont, 118,129 people, is served by two Episcopal Churches: St. Mark's and St. Stephen's. The four sizable demographic communities in south county--Nederland, Port Neches, Groves and Port Arthur--are often contiguous and comprise a population of about 101,072 people. These closely related communities are served by only one Episcopal Church: Holy Trinity in Port Neches. Holy Trinity's membership is comprised of these five communities, but also include members from other areas such as Hamshire, Fannett, LaBelle, Bridge City, Orange, Orangefield, Vidor, Lumberton and Beaumont. The ministry burden for Holy Trinity is such a large, diverse geographic reach. The ministry opportunity is a harvest of unchurched people waiting to find a church home. We need a visionary leader who can seize the opportunities of reaching these people and inviting and connecting them to Holy Trinity.
